The bingo lingo used in online chat rooms is nearly as confusing as a teenagers text message, but don't worry we are here to help you make sense of all those LOL (Laugh Out Loud) and TYVM (Thank You Very Much).

Most players in online bingo game chat rooms use short hand to communicate. Bingo chat acronyms can be very confusing to new player. To help you understand them we've put together a list of the most common ones in use. Just click on an acronym below to see it's meaning.

Chat Room Etiquette


Bingo chat rooms are a great way to make new friends and have fun whilst playing your favorite game, our etiquette guide outlines some of the do's and don'ts of chat rooms.

  • Be nice to the Chat Moderators (CM) It's their job to make sure the chat room and games run smoothly and are enjoyable for all players. They also dish out random prizes and free money so it never pays to get on the wrong side of them.
  • DON'T TYPE IN CAPS!!! The Chat Moderators use capitals so that players can see any instructions clearly. The CM will sometimes use a red font instead.
  • Abusive or aggressive language to fellow chatters is no no, chat rooms are designed for friendly chat, not slanging matches.
  • Swearing, racist insults and crude sexual comments are not normally allowed.
  • If you win try not to brag about it too much! If you lose congratulate the winning players.
  • Do not mention other bingo sites during chat, we know you want to tell everyone about www.online-bingo.tv! but keep it to yourself.
  • Just like gossip down the pub can land you in trouble so can gossip in a chat room.
  • Do not ask other players for gifts or loans, and do not give any.
  • Don't tell anyone your password for your bingo account in a chat room.
  • Be carful about the personal information you tell others in chat rooms.
  • Welcome new players, you where new once, be nice to them ~ even if they seem stupid.
